Camille Vermosen

Senior Associate

Camille Vermosen advises clients on data protection, privacy, AI and cybersecurity, helping them navigate and comply with the fast-evolving framework of EU and national legislation in this field. She guides clients on the GDPR, the e-Privacy Directive and related regulations, advising on data breaches, international data transfers and day-to-day compliance. Her work also spans the broader digital regulatory landscape, with a particular focus on AI regulation, where she advises clients on the obligations under the EU AI Act, as well as on cybersecurity legislation such as the NIS2 Directive and on the Data Act, including its rules on data access, data sharing and the related obligations for businesses.

While she advises clients across a range of industries, she has developed particular experience in the life sciences sector, supporting pharmaceutical, medical device and in vitro diagnostic (IVD) companies with the data protection and digital regulatory challenges specific to their work. She also assists life sciences clients well beyond privacy and digital matters, including on horizontal EU legislation affecting the sector, such as the Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR). Alongside her regulatory practice, she advises on commercial and intellectual property matters, negotiating and drafting commercial, IT and supply agreements and advising on IP issues, in particular trademarks and copyright.

Camille is a Belgian-qualified lawyer. Prior to joining Arnold & Porter, she worked in the IP/IT team of a leading international business law firm in Brussels, where she also gained valuable in-house experience through several secondments, including to a global consumer goods company and to the data protection office of a leading Belgian company. Earlier in her career, she completed a traineeship at the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) in Alicante.

Camille is a native Dutch speaker, fluent in English and proficient in French.
