Michael L. Walden is an experienced trial lawyer who has more than 20 years of experience defending corporations in high-stakes litigation across the United States. He has litigated hundreds of complex, multimillion-dollar product liability cases from new matter through trial and beyond. He has spent the majority of his career serving clients in the highly regulated tobacco, pharmaceutical, and medical device industries. In addition, Mike has successfully represented companies in property disputes and insurance matters and has represented plaintiffs in pro bono civil rights litigation.

Experience

As trial counsel, Mike has tried five cases to verdict. He has represented Philip Morris USA* in various roles in over 30 trials. In addition to his trial work, Mike manages teams responsible for defending Philip Morris USA in dozens of cases, frequently coordinating joint defense strategy with other firms representing different defendants.

Mike devotes a significant amount of time to pro bono work and other activities that benefit the Kansas City community.
