Hacking and other violations of a business's computer database are all too common. The Federal Computer Incident Response Center reports more than 90,000 such incidents in the first five months of 2003. A new California statute, effective July 1, 2003, will require a business which suffers such an incident to notify California residents whose personal information was accessed
