This conference will examine whether there is sufficient precision in the definition of "value-based" programs, and in ways to measure value, to support significant initiatives in the public and private sectors. Regulation and private sector programs increasingly require providers and other health professionals to improve the value of their services, and reward or penalize them. So, it is time to take stock.
