On June 14 and 15, 2011, Kaye Scholer proudly sponsored and participated in the Aircraft Finance Summit at the Intercontinental Frankfurt in Frankfurt, Germany. The Summit, which was described as a “must-attend event for airlines, banks, manufacturers and regulators,” offered the opportunity to hear industry leaders share their experiences of obtaining finance in a difficult market, case-studies and real solutions towards ensuring efficient cash flow management.

Partners Daniel J. Hartnett, Michael C. Mulitz and Willys H. Schneider, together with Christopher Chaput of RPK Capital, a leasing company funded by equity capital from Carlyle, presented a panel discussion on the topic “Equity Perspective on the Airline Market’s Performance.” The Panel covered investment structures, issuer and investor issues, tax structuring issues, and exit strategies in creating and managing private equity funds investing in the aviation industry and aviation assets.
