Developments in Pharmaceutical and Biotech Patent Law

David K. Barr and Daniel L. Reisner will once again serve as Co-Chairs of PLI’s Annual Conference, “Developments in Pharmaceutical and Biotech Patent Law.” The conference, which takes place on April 5, 2012, in New York, will analyze how recent technological innovation, Federal Circuit appellate oversight and Supreme Court decisions will impact the pharmaceutical and biotechnology patent practice and will include a panel of federal district court judges to discuss issues relating to litigating and trying pharmaceutical and biotech patent cases. The conference will also be webcast via PLI’s website.

Dan will present the session “The Effect of the America Invents Act of 2011 on Pharma and Biotech Patent Practice,” and David will lead the session “Decisions Impacting Patentability of Biotech and Pharmaceutical Inventions Under Section 101.”

Benjamin C. Hsing will participate as a speaker in the session “The Cutting Edge: Reviewing Major Decisions in the Past Year and Pending Supreme Court and Federal Circuit en banc Petitions.”
