The Yates Memo: Potential Implications for Environmental Enforcement

The Yates Memo, issued in September 2015, calls upon Department of Justice prosecutors to hold individuals accountable for corporate wrongdoing. Given the breadth of many environmental criminal laws, as well as the Yates Memo’s application to civil liability, the memo could lead to significant changes in environmental enforcement. Our speakers are industry leaders in environmental enforcement and defense, who will share their analyses of the Memo’s potential implications.
