Shenkman, Gerrard Quoted in Bloomberg Law on Legacy of COP26

Environmental partner Ethan Shenkman and senior counsel Michael Gerrard were quoted in an article from Bloomberg Law, "Glasgow Climate Deal's Success Hinges on Pledges Becoming Action." The article discusses key takeaways and the potential legacy of the 26th UN Climate Change Conference of the Parties (COP26) and the resulting Glasgow Climate Pact.

Gerrard, Director of the Sabin Center for Climate Change Law at Columbia Law School, comments on the need for individual countries to enact new laws on a domestic level for the pact to be successful.

Speaking on global climate policy, Shenkman notes the rollout of new US Climate change initiatives during COP26 and the global focus on methane emissions, including China's commitment to develop a methane plan.
