Jeffress Quoted in Law360 on Extraditions for FIFA Corruption Case

Arnold & Porter partner Amy Jeffress, who co-chairs the firm's White Collar Defense & Investigations practice, was recently quoted in the Law360 article, “FIFA Case Enters Year 7 With Extradition Asterisks.” The article discusses extradition issues that have complicated the US government’s investigation of corruption in international soccer. Jeffress discussed what happens when a foreign court denies extradition requests from the US. She also commented on how the US Department of Justice may in some circumstances issue indictments to send a message, even where there is no hope of obtaining an individual defendant through extradition.
