Prero Quoted in Bloomberg Law on the EPA’s PFAS Rule

Environmental counsel Judah Prero was quoted in the recent Bloomberg Law article, “PFAS Rule to Cost Many Millions More, EPA Analysis Finds.” The article discusses the economic analysis of the US Environmental Protection Agency’s proposed rule regarding the reporting of PFAS chemical production and importation. A new economic analysis of the proposed rule estimates that small businesses will pay hundreds of millions of dollars more than was previously projected.

Prero told Bloomberg Law that the EPA may likely make changes to the proposed rule before it is finalized to appropriately reflect the new estimated costs and the obstacles this could pose to businesses. Prero also said the new economic analysis gives some insight into the EPA’s increased attention on regulating chemical in manufactured goods.
