Norberg Quoted in Bloomberg Law on Celebrity ESG Endorsements

Securities Enforcement Litigation partner Jane Norberg was quoted in the Bloomberg Law article, “FTX-Gisele Partnership Highlights Risks of Celebrity ESG Roles.” The story discusses the issues around celebrities endorsing companies’ crypto platforms and ESG initiatives and the potential future approach regulators and legislators will have in this area.

Norberg said that she would not be surprised if the SEC would scrutinize celebrity involvement in the marketing of ESG investments and initiatives, adding, “I think that the ESG task force is looking far and wide for cases and certainly I don’t think celebrities are immune from the scrutiny.”
