Bobby McMillin Discusses Biosecure Act in STAT

Arnold & Porter Legislative & Public Policy partner Bobby McMillin was recently quoted by STAT discussing the impact of the Biosecure Act and the potential for additional legislative and regulatory measures.
“The itch has not been entirely scratched,” Bobby said, in reference to policymakers’ interest in attempting to counter the rise of Chinese biopharma companies.
Bobby also noted that it took approximately two years for the Biosecure Act to pass, and that new legislative proposals could likewise take considerable time for Congress to consider.
