Arnold & Porter Selects Fourteen For Promotion
WASHINGTON, D.C., January 6, 2004 — The international law firm of Arnold & Porter has elected 11 new partners and three counsel. Practice areas represented by the group include litigation, antitrust/competition and trade regulation, government contracts, intellectual property/technology, corporate and securities, and real estate. All positions were effective January 1, 2004.
Former associates who have been elected partner are:
Daniel A. Cantor, a member of the litigation and environmental groups. He is a graduate of American University Washington College of Law and is resident in the firm’s Washington, D.C., office.
Matthew J. Douglas, a member of the litigation and product liability groups. He is a graduate of the University of Colorado School of Law and is resident in the firm’s Denver office.
Jeffrey L. Handwerker, a member of the litigation and government contracts groups. He is a graduate of the George Washington University National Law Center and is resident in the firm’s Washington, D.C., office.
Susan Hinchliffe, a member of the antitrust/competition and trade regulation group. She is a graduate of Leicester University, England, and is resident in the firm’s recently opened Brussels office.
Leslie L. Jacobs, Jr., a member of the intellectual property/technology group. He is a graduate of the Franklin Pierce Law Center and is resident in the firm’s Washington, D.C., office.
Duane J. Mauney, a member of the litigation and product liability groups. He is a graduate of the University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill School of Law and is resident in the firm’s Washington, D.C. , office.
Elissa J. Preheim, a member of the litigation group. She is a graduate of Indiana University School of Law and is resident in the Washington, D.C., office.

Darren Skinner, a member of the corporate and securities group. He is a graduate of Georgetown University Law Center and holds an LL.M. from Harvard Law School. He is resident in the firm’s Washington, D.C., office.
