Commercial Trial Lawyer Ed Aro Joins Arnold & Porter In Denver
Denver, September 9, 2010 -- Arnold & Porter LLP announced today the arrival of commercial trial lawyer Ed Aro, who joins as a partner in the firm's Denver office. Mr. Aro has served as lead trial counsel for clients in dozens of jury trials, bench trials, and arbitrations. His cases have included complex commercial, intellectual property, and employment actions, as well as construction, environmental, real estate, and criminal actions.

An accomplished trial lawyer, Mr. Aro tried five cases to juries between July 2008 and July 2009. His recent jury trials have ranged from commercial fraud and breach of fiduciary duty cases to intellectual property, employment, and Sarbanes-Oxley disputes. Other representative engagements have included defending a global provider of medical equipment and products in related civil lawsuits involving patent infringement claims and a dispute concerning a failed merger; representing a major telecommunications carrier in a software licensing suit; and serving as lead counsel to a biotechnology company involved in synthetic RNA synthesis in an industrial espionage and intellectual property lawsuit against several of its venture capital investors.
Mr. Aro is a graduate of Boston University School of Law and served as a law clerk for the Honorable Richard P. Matsch, US District Court for the District of Colorado. He has been in private practice since 1990. He is ranked as a leading lawyer for general commercial litigation in Colorado by Chambers USA 2010 and has also been recognized by Colorado Super Lawyers and Best Lawyers in America.
