Arnold & Porter Recognized for Its Diversity and Adoption-Friendly Programs

WASHINGTON, D.C., September 19, 2012 -- Arnold & Porter was again named one of the “100 Best Companies” by Working Mother magazine.  It is the thirteenth time the firm has earned this prestigious media recognition.

Working Mother particularly noted Arnold & Porter’s gender diversity, mentoring, and career counseling initiatives that have helped the firm achieve impressive diversity hiring and retention results in recent years.  Nearly half of the firm’s associates, staff attorneys and directors are now women, while 23% of its partners, counsel and executive managers are women.

Arnold & Porter will be recognized at the Working Mother "100 Best Companies" Gala Awards dinner to be held October 10 at the Marriott Marquis in New York City.  The event is part of the Work Life Congress annual conference, which will be held October 8 - 10.  Arnold & Porter and the other “100 Best Companies” will also be recognized in the October/November issue of Working Mother.

In addition, Arnold & Porter was recently named one of “America’s Best Adoption-Friendly Workplaces” by the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption.  The firm has earned this well-regarded recognition five times, including for the past three years, based on the foundation’s analysis of each company’s adopting benefits, including the maximum amount of financial reimbursement and paid leave for families who adopt.
