Arnold & Porter LLP Signs Lease for Move to 601 Massachusetts Avenue, NW
Washington, D.C., January 7, 2013 -- Arnold & Porter LLP announced today that it has executed a 20-year lease with Boston Properties for a new, mixed use development at 601 Massachusetts Avenue in Washington, D.C.'s Penn Quarter neighborhood. Under the terms of the lease, the Firm expects to move to the new location in October, 2015.
Arnold & Porter will occupy approximately 375,000 square feet of space in the 11 story building to be constructed on a site acquired by Boston Properties in 2008 from National Public Radio. The anticipated LEED Gold Rated project will include first class office and retail space and will be located at the intersection of Massachusetts Avenue, New York Avenue, and K Street.

The transaction is among the largest leases signed in Washington, D.C. in 2012.
Jennifer Perkins, a partner in the Firm's Real Estate practice group, advised Arnold & Porter in the lease negotiations. In addition to Mr. Marr, Sally Wilson and Timothy Dempsey of CBRE represented Arnold & Porter. A team from HOK led by Catherine Haley will provide interior design oversight for the project. Jon Kaylor and Anne Dumont of Boston Properties represented the Landlord/Developer.
