Experienced Labor & Employment Lawyer Joshua F. Alloy Joins Arnold & Porter

WASHINGTON, DC, February 24, 2015 -- Arnold & Porter LLP announced today that Joshua F. Alloy has joined the firm as counsel in the Labor and Employment group, resident in the firm's Washington, DC office.

In his practice, Mr. Alloy handles a broad range of labor and employment matters involving counseling, transactions, and litigation. His work focuses on such key federal statutes as Title VII, ADEA, ADA, FMLA, FLSA, NLRA, WARN, and state and local labor and employment laws. He has experience conducting internal investigations and audits and advising clients in connection with internal complaints and administrative proceedings before federal and state agencies. He also drafts and negotiates employment and consulting contracts, commission and compensation plans, and counsels clients on terminations, reductions-in-force, and alternatives to layoffs. In addition to his counseling and transactional work, Mr. Alloy defends clients against individual and class claims of employment discrimination and harassment, wage-hour violations, constitutional violations, and breach of contract in federal and state courts, arbitrations, and administrative proceedings.

Mr. Alloy earned his J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania, cum laude, where he was elected to the Order of the Coif, received the M.H. Goldstein Memorial Prize for Labor Law, and served as Senior Editor of the University of Pennsylvania Law Review. He received his B.A., with honors, from Swarthmore College. Mr. Alloy has also been named a Super Lawyers "Rising Star" in Washington, DC and previously in New York in each year since 2011.
