Arnold & Porter Ranked Number One for Pro Bono in the US by the 2016 TrustLaw Index
WASHINGTON, DC and LONDON, August 5, 2016 -- Arnold & Porter LLP contributed the most pro bono hours on a per attorney basis in the US last year, according to an annual survey of law firms conducted by the Thomson Reuters Foundation. Arnold & Porter’s London and Brussels offices were both ranked fourth, in England and Wales and in Belgium.
The Foundation’s 2016 TrustLaw Index of Pro Bono, now in its third year, is designed to identify and assess trends in pro bono around the world. The index was compiled with data collected from over 130 law firms across 75 countries.
In the US, Arnold & Porter contributed an average of 118 hours of pro bono work per fee earner, the survey found. In London, this figure was 56 hours, and in Brussels it was 46 hours.
London-based magazine The Lawyer commented: “Arnold & Porter performed strongly again, with every single one of its London fee-earners contributing at least ten hours of pro bono last year.”
