Arnold & Porter Kaye Scholer's defense of Philip Morris in Pooshs v. Altria Group Inc. was recognized as a "Top Defense Verdict" of 2016. The annual special report lists the most impactful verdicts of each year with a focus on California-based attorneys.
According to Daily Journal, Product Liability Litigation partner Pamela Yates "led the examination of a key defense witness at trial and cross examined all of the plaintiff's witnesses," which led to a "major victory" for the tobacco industry.
