Arnold & Porter Kaye Scholer Again Named to The National Law Journal's 'Appellate Hot List'

For the fifth consecutive year, Arnold & Porter Kaye Scholer has been named to The National Law Journal's "Appellate Hot List." The annual report recognizes 20 firms that have performed significant appellate work during the previous year before the US Supreme Court, federal circuit courts of appeal, and state courts of last resort. It also discusses how firms approach appellate success, examines significant wins, and compiles advice from featured attorneys. The firm was previously named to the list in 2010 and 2013-2016.

The annual report also features "an elite group of lawyers" that have "posted hard-fought wins." Lisa Blatt, who heads the firm’s Appellate and Supreme Court practice, was featured this year for her recent Supreme Court victory in Advocate Health Care Network v. Stapleton. When asked about the victory, Blatt explained how "we approached this case like every case—treating the case as one of life or death."
