Former FDA Associate Chief Counsel for Enforcement Anna Thompson Rejoins Arnold & Porter

WASHINGTON, DC, February 5, 2019 Anna K. ThompsonArnold & Porter announced today that Anna K. Thompson, former Associate Chief Counsel for Enforcement in the US Food and Drug Administration's Office of the Chief Counsel, has rejoined the firm as counsel. Ms. Thompson will be a member of the Product Liability Litigation practice, resident in the firm's Washington, DC office.

During her tenure at the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA), Ms. Thompson represented the agency with respect to constitutional and Administrative Procedure Act challenges and in civil enforcement actions, as well as advised on issues surrounding the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act. Ms. Thompson also brings eight years of experience in private practice at Arnold & Porter. She was recognized as a "Rising Star" for Business Litigation in 2014 and a "Rising Star" for Personal Injury Products, Defense in 2015 and 2016 by Washington DC Super Lawyers.

Ms. Thompson earned her JD from Washington & Lee University School of Law, where she graduated summa cum laude and was elected to the Order of the Coif. She received her BA from the University of Virginia, cum laude.
