Daily Journal Names Samson to 2020 'Top 40 Under 40' Report

Arnold & Porter managing director Anthony Samson was named to the Daily Journal's list of "Top 40 Under 40" attorneys. The annual list profiles the top California-based attorneys under the age of 40, who practice across a range of practice areas.

Samson, who launched Arnold & Porter's California Government Affairs practice and manages it from the firm's Sacramento office, is highlighted by the Daily Journal for his extensive lobbying work on high-profile matters before the California Legislature and regulatory agencies.

Recently, Samson has shifted to help companies navigate the myriad unique issues posed by the coronavirus pandemic. "At first there was a lot of confusion over what was an essential business," explains Samson in the profile. "I helped companies through that process. Then, as things started to open back up, liability issues arose. Now we're shifting back toward more normal lobbying activities."
