Arnold & Porter Mourns the Passing of Our Former Chairman John D. Hawke, Jr.

We are deeply saddened by the passing of our long-time partner and colleague Jerry Hawke.
Jerry was a giant in the financial services industry, an extraordinary lawyer, and a great leader of the Firm. He strongly believed in public service and served with distinction in leadership roles in the federal government.
Jerry was a true mentor to generations of lawyers, a gifted teacher and a devoted friend. He had a wonderful sense of humor and he cared deeply about Arnold & Porter and its clients. We will miss him.
