Jeffress Recognized as “White-Collar Lawyer of the Year” at the 2022 Chambers USA Awards

Amy Jeffress, co-chair of Arnold & Porter’s White Collar Defense and Investigations practice, was named “White-Collar Lawyer of the Year” at the 2022 Chambers USA Awards. The Chambers USA Awards honor individuals who have demonstrated impressive strategic growth and are recognized by clients and peers for their outstanding work and excellent service.

Jeffress represents clients in a wide range of criminal defense and compliance matters and has particular expertise in cross-border and national security matters. She conducts internal investigations and advises companies and individuals on export enforcement, FCPA, the Foreign Agents Registration Act (FARA), and mutual legal assistance and other international law enforcement issues, including extradition and INTERPOL notices.

Before joining the firm, Jeffress served as the Justice Department Attaché to the US Embassy in London and as Counselor to the Attorney General. During her 13 years as federal prosecutor with the US Attorney’s Office for District of Columbia she tried more than 40 cases and served as Chief of the National Security Section, conducting and supervising investigations and prosecutions of international and domestic terrorism, espionage, export control violations, and other crimes related to national security.
