Arnold & Porter Again Receives Mansfield and Mansfield Plus Certification
Arnold & Porter has once again achieved Mansfield Certification, earning Mansfield 6.0 Certification Plus after completing the twelve-month Mansfield Rule program. The Mansfield 6.0 Certification program measures the structural changes and steps firms have taken over the past year to ensure paths to leadership are open and transparent to all qualified lawyers, including lateral hiring, client pitch teams, promotions, and appointments. The Mansfield Certification Plus rating recognizes firms that have made measured progress in increasing inclusivity in leadership and have at least 30% of women or diverse lawyers in leading roles.

The goal of the Mansfield Rule is to boost the representation of lawyers from underrepresented groups in law firm leadership by broadening the pool of candidates considered for these roles and opportunities. For participating firms to receive certification, the Mansfield Rule 6.0 requires that firms consider at least 30% underrepresented lawyers for hiring, awards, and promotions to C-level and other senior level roles. To receive Mansfield 6.0 Certification this year, firms also had to ensure advancement processes and leadership role descriptions were clearly written and accessible.
