April 30, 2024

Arnold & Porter pro bono manager Rwanda Campbell was recently honored with the 2024 "Pro Bono Service Award" from Ayuda, a group that provides legal, social, and language services to help low-income immigrants throughout Washington, D.C., Maryland, and Virginia. Campbell received the award during Ayuda's "Annual Standing with Immigrants Event," which took place on April 25, 2024.

Ayuda's "Pro Bono Service Award" is given to attorneys that have made a "special and significant contribution to Ayuda's legal pro bono program in the last year." Campbell was recognized for her "unwavering support for immigrants in need." Ayuda's pro bono program allows attorneys to consult with clients in brief advice clinics, as well as to work with pro bono partners to provide long-term representation to clients in immigration matters through its pro bono pipeline.

Campbell manages the firm's extensive pro bono practice, and assists attorneys in obtaining pro bono matters. Campbell also maintains an active docket of pro bono immigration clients that include representing individuals in asylum, U visas, and other forms of immigration relief. Campbell has provided pro bono services in the areas of voter protection and has assisted at both the D.C Superior Court Landlord Tenant Resource Center and the D.C. Superior Court Family Court Self-Help Center.
