D.C. Courts Name 203 Arnold & Porter Lawyers to 2023 Pro Bono Honor Roll

May 8, 2024

The District of Columbia Courts named 203 Arnold & Porter lawyers to their 13th annual Capital Pro Bono Honor Roll, which recognizes D.C. Bar members who contributed 50 hours or more of pro bono service during the last calendar year. Of the 203 Arnold & Porter lawyers who were named to this year's list, 126 of them were granted the distinction of “High Honors” for providing 100 hours or more of pro bono service.

The 2023 Honor Roll highlights those D.C. Bar members who have used their “time, talents, and expertise to ensure that those who cannot afford an attorney have meaningful access to justice.” This year's list included 5,032 lawyers who performed 50 hours or more of pro bono service in 2023, with 2,823 (56%) providing 100 hours or more of pro bono service. The honorees span 166 law firms, solo practices, federal and local government agencies, corporations, associations, and public interest organizations.

D.C. Courts' recognition reflects Arnold & Porter's sustained commitment to pro bono work. The firm was recently recognized as a top 10 firm in the 2023 Law360 Pulse Leaderboard, as well as one of the top 5 firms for social impact and one of the top 2 firms for pro bono in the 2023 Law360 Pulse Social Impact Leaders report. The firm was also named one of the top 5 firms for its national pro bono work and one of the top 10 firms for its international pro bono work in The American Lawyer's 2023 “Pro Bono Scorecard.”
