Kaye Scholer Lawyers Contribute to German Legal Handbook on Private Equity

Thomas A. Jesch is co-editor of a new legal handbook for private equity fund structures and investments, Rechtshandbuch Private Equity, published on August 4, 2010, by Munich-based C.H. Beck. The 1,016-page volume combines an analysis of LP requirements, country-specific fund structures, transaction-level due diligence, share purchase agreements, exit structures and industry-specific considerations. Mr. Jesch and Thomas C. Knecht of Roland Berger Strategy Consultants have authored a chapter on distressed equity investments. Gottfried M. Freier and Adrian M. Schell of Nobel Biocare Holding contributed a chapter on biotechnology investments. A section on outbound investments includes 13 country reports. The U.S. country report was authored by Timothy Spangler. The U.K. country report was authored by Mr. Spangler, Stuart Fleet and Daniel Lewin. The panel of authors includes further practitioners from Berenberg Bank, BPE Fund Investors, capiton, Commerzbank, Triginta Capital and Union Asset Management, as well as from other major law and accounting firms.
