Update: Future Federal Contracts To Be Covered By Higher Minimum Wage

As we advised previously, President Obama announced during his State of the Union address that he would raise the minimum wage for federal construction and service contractor employees from US$7.25 to US$10.10 an hour. On February 12, 2014, the President signed an executive order establishing this rate beginning January 1, 2015. This Advisory provides additional details of the President's plan of which federal contractors should be aware.
