The protection of trade secrets following the EU directive (EU) 2016/943: New requirements and challenges for the protection of know-how and its implications for confidentiality agreements and non-disclosure clauses under labor law

Nicolas Dumont and Nina Marcus held a lecture on the EU directive on the protection of trade secrets against their unlawful acquisition, use and disclosure (EU directive # 2016/943) together with the recently published draft bill of the German law implementing the directive (GeschGehG-E). The lecture covered the current case law regarding the use of illegally obtained trade secrets, the consequences of its use as well as preventive measures under both IP and employment law.
