Frankfurt Partner Hans-Joachim Fritz to Address Chief Compliance Officers on Works Constitution

On October 22, 2012, Labor & Employment Partner Hans-Joachim Fritz will address leading chief compliance officers of major German corporations in Germany, such as Porsche and Nestle, on “Compliance and Works Constitution – Between Prevention and Investigation” in Frankfurt.
The main topic of the presentation will focus on the status of the Works Council in company compliance processes and measures. Drawing on relevant cases from his legal practice, Dr. Fritz will discuss the suitability of the Works Council as an ombudsman when companies violate Works Constitution rules and its role in internal investigations as well as the limits of German co-determination regarding the design and implementation of a code of ethics.
