Pamela Yates to Speak at ACI’s 18th Annual Drug & Medical Device Litigation Conference

On December 10, Partner Pamela Yates will speak at the American Conference Institute’s 18^th Annual Drug & Medical Device Litigation Conference at The Marriott Marquis in New York. Pam will present on Daubert v. Merrell Dow Pharmaceuticals, the landmark Supreme Court case in which she drafted the motion for summary judgment that enunciated the court’s ‘gatekeeping’ role and set the standard for the admissibility of expert testimony.

Attendees can expect a detailed analysis of how to set up the other side’s expert for a methodological challenge, including how to effectively cross examine and challenge the other side’s experts’ qualifications, methodology and opinions, thereby positioning a company for summary judgment.
