Aaron Bowling is an accomplished litigator focused primarily on intellectual property and commercial litigation. Aaron has successfully represented clients in high-stakes cases involving athletic apparel and footwear, consumer packaged goods, medical devices, and other biotechnological products. Aaron has litigated cases in the U.S. Supreme Court, federal appellate court, federal district court, the International Trade Commission, and the Patent Trial and Appeal Board.
In addition to his litigation practice, Aaron has served in multiple client-integrated roles. Aaron recently completed a year-long secondment at a Fortune 100 company, and he currently serves as a Strategic Legal Advisor to one of the fastest-growing food companies in the United States. These unique positions have sharpened Aaron’s ability to navigate the interplay between legal risk, strategic planning, and day-to-day business demands.
Aaron also regularly lectures in programs at Northwestern University and the University of Chicago, teaching intellectual property and invention harvesting strategies to the universities’ scientists and engineers. In 2022, Aaron was named a Federal Circuit Bar Association "Global Fellow," along with 23 other attorneys from around the world.
Prior to joining Arnold & Porter, Aaron clerked for Judge Jimmie V. Reyna at the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit.
