Owen S. Haney is a financial restructuring attorney in Arnold & Porter’s Chicago office, who focuses on representing secured and unsecured creditors. He has helped creditors and creditor groups successfully manage their investments through various insolvency scenarios, including bankruptcy filings, collection actions, foreign restructurings, out-of-court workouts, and appellate litigation. Owen has advised clients involved in a range of industries, including aviation, renewable energy, consumer retail, and maritime shipping.
Owen also maintains a diverse pro bono practice. Past representations include counseling the board of directors of a non-profit on restructuring matters, assisting an unaccompanied juvenile immigrant with obtaining legal status in the United States, and advising a victim of human trafficking in civil litigation and restitution collection efforts against their traffickers.
