Paula Millar is a corporate / commercial lawyer focusing primarily on the technology sector. She represents businesses that develop, commercialize, acquire, and implement technology solutions, and has extensive experience advising on intellectual property, information technology, privacy, and cybersecurity matters.

She regularly advises on issues relating to enterprise software, cloud services, data sharing, and a wide range of emerging technologies. Ms. Millar is also experienced in drafting and structuring licensing, collaboration, and other services agreements for companies operating in a variety of industries.

Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Millar was an associate in the Toronto office of an international law firm and served as in-house legal counsel at a leading global fintech company, where she gained considerable experience with business and legal issues relating to software-as-a-service, artificial intelligence, and payments. Ms. Millar draws on this prior in-house experience to bring a business-minded approach to her practice.

Ms. Millar is an IAPP Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP/US) and currently serves as a member of the advisory committee for Women in PropTech, a leading global organization for professionals with an interest in innovation and the future of real estate.
