Jake Murphy joined Arnold & Porter's litigation practice after clerking for Judge Veronica S. Rossman of the United States Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit. Prior to his clerkship, he was an associate at the Boston office of another global law firm.

Jake is a graduate of the Yale Law School, where he was a member of the Supreme Court Advocacy Clinic and served on the board of the School's Latine law students association. While at Yale, he completed internships with the United States Attorney's Office for the District of Colorado and the Federal Public Defender for the District of Columbia.

Jake took his master's degree from the University of St Andrews, where he was a Robert T. Jones Fellow, and received his B.A., summa cum laude, from Emory University.
