Based in Sacramento, Katie Pettibone integrates decades of government and public policy advocacy experience to promote the interests of clients in the banking, insurance, and healthcare and life sciences sectors. She has particularly deep skills in the life sciences sector, advising leading pharmaceutical companies and others on strategy and communication to obtain results aligned with their business-critical purposes and policy preferences.

Prior to joining the firm, Katie was a consultant in an independent public policy firm, where she advised on strategy and lobbied on behalf of clients before the California legislature. Before that, she served as the American Insurance Association’s Vice President of State Affairs for the Western Region; Director of Legislation for the Civil Justice Association of California; and Senior Legislative Analyst in the California Governor's Office of Planning and Research.

Over the years, Katie has worked with industry-leading clients in sectors ranging from technology to financial services to biotech and biopharma. She has advocated on various matters, including those related to access to precision medicine, product liability, underwriting risk, and access to the courts. Katie has worked on a variety of significant public policy issues from the impact of climate change and wildfires to improving access to healthcare.
