Bree Raum has extensive experience working with Congress and federal agencies on energy, environment, and energy transition. As leader of the energy and environment legislative practice, she advises clients on federal policy, regulatory strategy, and political risk affecting energy industries. She has a proven track record of providing legislative and regulatory foresight to senior leaders, shaping public policy positions, and translating complex external dynamics into clear, actionable guidance for decision-making.
While in the private sector, Bree was an executive at Air Products, a hydrogen energy company, where she served as Executive Director of Government Affairs for the Americas and of U.S. Federal Relations. Before joining Air Products, she was with BP America and focused on federal government affairs for renewable energy, EV charging, carbon capture and sequestration, and hydrogen.
Bree spent more than two decades in leadership roles in the energy government relations sector. She was Vice President of Federal Affairs for the American Clean Power Association (ACP) and American Wind Energy Association (AWEA), where she represented the renewable energy industry on tax and infrastructure issues before Congress. Before that, she was the Senior Director of Federal Affairs for the American Gas Association (AGA), where she represented America’s natural gas utilities as a federal lobbyist focusing on energy efficiency, environment, appropriations, and tax issues. Prior to joining AGA, Bree spent over four years with the AWEA, where she lobbied for a renewable energy standard, directed the association’s political giving, and created and managed the industry’s national grassroots lobbying program.
In addition to her academic degrees, Bree is also a graduate of the University of Virginia’s Sorensen Institute’s Political Leaders Program.
