Senior Policy Specialist*

Lauren Schwarze is a government affairs and public policy professional with experience supporting clients on matters involving international trade, import policy, natural resources, food safety, consumer protection, and congressional and regulatory oversight. Prior to joining Arnold & Porter, Lauren worked at a boutique law firm, where she helped establish and grow the firm’s lobbying practice while supporting industry associations and coalitions on legislative, regulatory, and policy matters.

At Arnold & Porter, Lauren focuses on trade, financial services, and appropriations matters. She brings experience working at the intersection of policy, regulation, and advocacy, with a particular understanding of issues affecting domestic industries and organizations operating in highly regulated environments.

Lauren earned her B.A. in Political Science, magna cum laude, with a minor in History from Marquette University in 2019. While at Marquette, she participated in the Les Aspin Center for Government and held congressional internships in the offices of Senator Tammy Baldwin and Representative Sean Casten. Lauren earned her Master of Public Affairs from Indiana University’s O’Neill School of Public and Environmental Affairs in 2024.
