Guilty Verdict in Electronic Waste Recycling Case

In the first case of its kind, an electronic waste (e-waste) recycling company, Executive Recycling, and two of its executives were found convicted of illegally exporting e-waste overseas,  as well as other, related criminal charges. The implications of this case are broad and may reach beyond the State of Colorado to serve as a catalyst for federal regulation of e-waste. The verdict also provides a useful reminder to manufacturers and retailers of electronic devices to exercise careful due diligence when contracting with e-waste recyclers.
