Paul Llewellyn Moderated Panels at Annual International Trademark Association Meeting

May 22–26, 2010

Paul Llewellyn, Partner in the Intellectual Property practice, participated in two events at the International Trademark Association (“INTA”) Annual Meeting in Boston on May 22–26, 2010. INTA’s Annual Meeting is the trademark community’s premier event for networking, continuing legal education, and committee and client meetings. Mr. Llewellyn moderated the panel “Monetary Remedies in Trademark Cases,” on May 25, 2010. With recent multimillion dollar verdicts and mounting pressure for trademark protection programs to pay their own way, there has been an increased interest in monetary recovery in trademark cases. The panel addressed the availability of damages in trademark litigation and the practicalities of proving various forms of monetary relief. In addition, Mr. Llewellyn hosted a Table Topic on “Proof of Dilution Under the Trademark Dilution Revision Act,” on May 23, 2010.
