Emergency ACO Summit: Analyzing the Final Rule

On October 20, 2011, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) posted the long-awaited Final Rule governing the development and operations of Accountable Care Organizations (ACOs) to participate in the Medicare Shared Savings Program (MSSP). At the same time, the HHS Office of Inspector General, the Federal Trade Commission, the Department of Justice, and the Internal Revenue Service issued related rules and guidance. This program will provide practical guidance on what the Final Rule means for the healthcare industry in New York.
