Harris Featured by Law.com International on UK Black History Month

Arnold & Porter partner Kathleen Harris, who heads the firm's London office and co-chairs the firm's Anti-Corruption practice, was featured in a Q&A with Law.com International to commemorate the start of UK Black History Month. In the Q&A, Harris discusses what Black History Month means to her and gives advice to aspiring Black lawyers and firms expanding their diversity initiatives.

"You can't create a diverse law firm without ensuring you are contributing properly to a future where young practitioners are encouraged and recognized, irrespective of how they fit within the diverse spectrum," explains Harris. "Many clients now expect their legal teams to reflect the diversity of wider society and law firms should acknowledge that they best service the needs of their clients by ensuring that they have legal talent drawn from diverse backgrounds."
