Arnold & Porter Trial Lawyer David Gersch Interviewed on PBS NewsHour Regarding Pennsylvania Voter I.D. Law

Washington, D.C., July 30, 2012—Working with the American Civil Liberties Union and several other civil rights groups, Arnold & Porter is part of a team challenging the Pennsylvania photo voter I.D. law -- one of the strictest in the country -- in Pennsylvania's Commonwealth Court. They argue that the new law is too complicated and expensive to put in place by November 6 and that the measure is constitutionally questionable, making it harder for voters who are not likely to have acceptable identification -- among them, the elderly, minorities, veterans, and the urban poor. Mr. Gersch is one of the attorneys arguing the case on behalf of the plaintiffs and is representing them on a pro bono basis.
