Manager Magazin interviewed Sebastian Jungermann and Jens Steger for its July issue about merger control practices of the Bundeskartellamt (Germany’s Federal Cartel Office). Jens was quoted in the context of potential future developments in German merger control law related to the newly implemented so-called SIEC-Test (Significant Impediment of Effective Competition) in §36 ARC, while Sebastian discussed the latest merger control developments in the area of so-called “rolled asphalt” where the Bundeskartellamt forces corporations to deconcentrate.
