Arnold & Porter Announces Leadership Changes

WASHINGTON, DC, September 9, 2015 -- Arnold & Porter LLP announced today that Managing Partner Richard M. Alexander will become chairman of the firm, effective January 1, 2016.  Mr. Alexander, a partner in the firm’s Financial Services practice group, has served as the firm’s managing partner since 2005.

Mr. Alexander said:  “It has been a great personal and professional privilege to work with our current chairman, Tom Milch.  He has ably guided and strengthened our firm through unprecedented changes in our profession without ever compromising our firm’s values.  He has served as a great steward of Arnold & Porter and I look forward to working with him and my other colleagues in my new position.”

The firm also announced that Anne P. Davis and Michael D. Daneker will assume the roles of co-managing partners effective October 1, 2015.  Ms. Davis joined Arnold & Porter in 1999 and was elected to the partnership in 2007.  In addition to her litigation practice, Ms. Davis has served on the firm’s Management and New Partner Committees and acted as the firm’s general counsel for two years.  Mr. Daneker joined Arnold & Porter in 1991 as a summer associate and was elected to the partnership in 2000.  He concentrates his practice on environmental law and toxic tort litigation.  Mr. Daneker has served on a number of firm committees including the Policy and Compensation Committees.  In their role as managing partners, Ms. Davis and Mr. Daneker will preside over the firm-wide Management Committee.
