Karen Rigberg, Former Managing Counsel for Toyota Motor North America, Joins Arnold & Porter Kaye Scholer

LOS ANGELES, November 15, 2017Karen RigbergArnold & Porter Kaye Scholer LLP announced today that Karen T. Rigberg, who served as Managing Counsel at Toyota Motor North America (Toyota Motors Sales USA, Inc.), has joined the firm as counsel in the Antitrust group. She will reside in the firm's Los Angeles office.

During her tenure at Toyota, Ms. Rigberg spearheaded antitrust compliance matters and also handled consumer protection, participation agreements, and contract compliance issues. Serving as managing counsel at Toyota since 2005, she handled transactions and agreements, including participation, services, supply, and car sharing programs. In that role, Ms. Rigberg was significantly involved in antitrust compliance, training, claims, litigation, consumer protection, and other matters. Prior to 2005, she handled product class actions, trademark enforcement claims, and product liability, and supervised all US warranty and Lemon Law work for the corporation.

Ms. Rigberg began her legal career in private practice where she specialized in product liability litigation.

Ms. Rigberg earned her JD from the University of Arizona College of Law, where she was Senior Articles Editor of the Arizona Law Review. She received her BA from the University of Pennsylvania.
