Fishman Named to New Jersey Law Journal's Inaugural 'New Jersey Trailblazer' Report
Arnold & Porter partner Paul Fishman, who heads the firm's Crisis Management and Strategic Response team, was named to New Jersey Law Journal's inaugural list of New Jersey Trailblazers. The report profiles attorneys who are "innovators and thought leaders" and have made "significant marks on the practice, policy and technological advancement of their practice."
Fishman, noted as "the longest-serving US Attorney for New Jersey in decades," was appointed in 2009 by President Barack Obama and "prosecuted corrupt public officials, perpetrators of financial fraud and police officers who abused their authority." The profile also highlighted his office's success in prosecuting high-profile cases in areas such as public corruption and financial fraud, and also praised Fishman's work with underrepresented communities. Fishman also was lauded in the profile for his commitment to diversity. Over seven years, he increased the percentage of minority lawyers in the US Attorney's office from 9 percent to 25 percent.
