Asimow Named to Daily Journal's 2021 ‘Top Antitrust Lawyers’ Report

November 22, 2021

San Francisco-based Antitrust/Competition partner Daniel Asimow was named to Daily Journal's 2021 "Top Antitrust Lawyers" report. The special feature annually profiles the top antitrust lawyers in California.

Asimow, who focuses his practice on representing companies in antitrust and other complex disputes, was recognized for his work with clients across the sports and pharmaceutical spaces. In the profile, Asimow discussed his recent work with the Las Vegas Raiders in antitrust litigation initiated by the City of Oakland concerning the Raiders' relocation to Las Vegas.

The Raiders case poses the question of “whether a sports league can regulate the number of teams it governs and who has standing to challenge its decisions,” he told Daily Journal.

The publication also highlighted Asimow’s work for Bristol-Meyers Squibb in an antitrust case related to the licensing practices involved in combination antiretroviral therapy, a case that Asimow told Daily Journal is about “the rules of the road for pharmaceutical companies' collaboration.”

Asimow has been previously recognized by the publication, which named him to their "Top 100 Lawyers in California" reports in 2011 and 2016 and their “Top Antitrust Lawyers” report in 2020.
