Weberman Named to DCA Live’s 2023 ‘Emerging Women Leaders in Law’
Arnold & Porter counsel Melissa Weberman, head of the firm’s eDiscovery & Data Analytics (eData) group, was recognized as one of Washington D.C.’s leading female attorneys by DCA Live’s “Emerging Women Leaders in Law.” The list recognizes women in law in the Washington, D.C. region “who are emerging as leaders within their firms and the broader DC legal community.” She was one of 25 attorneys included on list for the private practice category.
Weberman focuses on counseling clients in eDiscovery and data analytics processes and best practices. She works closely with Arnold & Porter’s lawyers across practice groups to tailor strategies and discovery management plans for clients in numerous industries. Weberman also advises clients on defensible approaches to the preservation, collection, search, and analysis of information and data, and is experienced with technology-assisted review and other methods to enable clients to significantly reduce costs while maintaining defensibility.
Weberman maintains an active pro bono practice where she focuses on housing and discrimination issues. She serves on the Board of Directors of the DC Bar Foundation, the leading funder of civil legal aid in DC, and on the Board of Directors of the Washington Council of Lawyers, the public-interest bar association for DC. She is also a member of the firm’s Pro Bono Committee.
